Introduction
13th China Industrial Forum was held successfully at Diaoyutai State Guest Hotel in Beijing on July 15th, 2017, guided by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, supported by China Federation of Industrial Economics and sponsored by CINN. The Chairman Wang Min attracted the attention of all the participants at the scene with a string of latest figures at the beginning of his theme speech. He said, “Half of the year 2017 passed just now while XCMG has received continuous exciting news:”
The world’s first eight-axis 1200-ton all-terrain crane specially designed for wind power by XCMG was put into service for large client in the field of electricity system on July 10th, 2017. The crane dominates domestic market of super mobile cranes above 100 tons with a market share of 60% and completely replaces imported products;

The sale of XCMG’s large mining Excavators above 70 tons in the first half of this year exceeds the annual sale of last year, ranking the first on the domestic market with a market share of nearly 50%. XCMG has also gained large overseas orders that can change the competitive pattern of the world’s Mining Machinery industry. Only XCMG’s large mining Excavators and large mining Tippers above 100 tons form a complete set and own independent brand among domestic mining machineries;

By virtue of the large overseas orders gained continuously by XCMG from various “B & R” national super-large projects such as the world’s largest oil refinery project in Africa, the total export of XCMG in the first half of this year increases by 90% on year-on-year basis and ranks the first among domestic counterparts.

The Chairman Wang Min said, “These achievements we have made are hard-won as XCMG was at industrial bottom at this time last year due to continuous slumps for five years. The key to our success lies in that we have put forth to improve ourselves and worked hard to transform our structure with extremely strong strategic willpower and that we have fought a battle concerning structural reform of supply side which is inevitable and has to be completed in our journey of ‘Made in China 2025’.”

The Chairman Wang Min selected “Six Unswerving” as the topic and expounded from six aspects the experience and practice of XCMG concerning implementing the gold standard of “Leading Technology, Everlasting Products”, embracing lofty ambition and great aspiration to make breakthroughs with key elements, stepping on the stage of international market, making breakthroughs with intelligent manufacturing and intelligent interconnection equipment, cultivating a number of industrial champions and hidden champions, and establishing World Wisdom Group and XCMG Outstanding Talent Culture.
He pointed out, “Construction machinery attaches great importance to advance and durability. If we cannot make breakthrough in terms of high reliability, we will always be at the medium and low end and at low level. The key to achieving the strategic objectives of “Made in China 2025” lied in putting effort in implementing XCMG’s gold standard of “Leading Technology, Everlasting Products”. Once we make it, we can enhance our economic efficiency significantly and occupy the commanding heights of global competition.”

When talking about the success secret of XCMG, the Chairman Wang Min emphasized, “The biggest difference between XCMG and other enterprises lies in that XCMG has excellent corporate culture and it forges with courage and tenacity a fighting spirit that is unique to XCMG. Considering “Taking great responsibilities, Acting with great morals and Making great achievements” as core value and “Self-discipline, Practicality, Passion, Innovation” as corporate spirit, the “outstanding talent culture” of XCMG have influenced staffs generation after generation at their spiritual level and create healthy industrial and ecological environment.”
Under such a good corporate culture, none of our backbone elites leave XCMG in face of high-salary temptations from our counterparts. The Chairman Wang Min finally pointed out, “XCMG has set a goal: to rank the top three in the global construction machinery industry and enter global construction machinery deluxe club when the strategy of ‘Made in China 2025’ comes to an end. This is also the pursuit of all Chinese equipment manufacturers. After decades of struggle and development, XCMG is already only hundreds of meters away from the peak of global construction machinery. With quite strong strength and foundation, it shall bear the responsibility to make a sprint towards the peak and it has the ability to achieve this goal through our efforts step by step.”
The Chairman Wang Min said, “As long as we work hard, advance steadfastly and adhere to putting forth efforts in climbing, I firmly believe that XCMG can achieve the goal of reaching the summit of ‘Mount Everest’ in terms of global high-end equipment manufacturing industry and develop into a strong world-class long-lived enterprise and brand for China!”

In addition to the main forum, three theme forums were also set up, i.e.“Enterprise Innovation and Development”, “Belt &Road and International Industrial Cooperation” and “Intelligent Manufacturing”.
At the same time, the forum also carried out release and recognition campaign of “Demonstration Project and Users of the First (Set) of Major Domestic Technical Equipment”. This campaign aims to promote positive energy, highlight model strength, promote industrial enterprises to regard high-tech as the core, break through key limiting link with utmost effort and form their own core competitiveness, and promote the upgrading of the whole industrial chain, vigorously promote industrial restructuring and upgrading, and promote the shift from “Made in China” to “Created in China.”
