Xicheng railway approved: total investment 81.49 billion, construction period 7.5 years

The total length of the line is 836.45km, including 307.7km of jian-lan railway, 20.3km of xining to haishengguan high-speed railway, 502.45km of the connecting line between haishengdong and huangshengguan, and 14 new stations.

Railway level 1, double track, designed speed of 200km/h (some sections are reserved to speed up to 250km/h plane conditions), long-term planning annual transport capacity of passenger one-way 30 million/year, freight 5 million/year, mainly passenger transport, light cargo transport as a supplement.

After the completion of the project, the journey time from xining to chengdu is expected to be only about 5 hours.

The xicheng railway project is estimated to have a total investment of 81.49 billion yuan and a total construction period of 7.5 years. It is planned to start construction in 2020, including the section from cooperation to huangshengguan (construction period of 6 years) and xining to cooperation (construction period of 7.5 years).
