XCMG’s double ringing slotter made its debut in Zhaoqing

Recently, in Zhaoqing, Guangdong, XCMG’s XTC80/55 double ringing slotter made its debut. In high speed diaphragm wall construction, it successfully worked in weathered granite with a depth of 48.2 meters and a width of 1.2 meters, and its construction capacity won high recognition. After the work, 4 sets have been sold or leased.

As the most advanced infrastructure construction equipment at home and abroad, the slotter is very difficult to develop. At present, the domestic demand is completely met by imported products. Enterprises have researched for years, but still in the experimental stage. In order to meet the domestic needs, XCMG with the technological advantage in rotary drill and hydraulic diaphragm wall grab, researched the advanced characteristics of foreign slotter, and developed XTC80/55 double ringing slotter. With reliable performance, easy maintenance, convenient transportation and high cost performance, the machine can basically meet the needs of domestic market.

The diaphragm wall project on Qingyuan-Yunfu Expressway has a wall axis diameter of 56m, a perimeter of 175.84m, and a slot width of 1.2m. The formation is largely plain fill, silty clay, silt and weathered granite. The designed depth is 1.2m into moderately weathered granite. When the machine arrived at the site, the company arranged services and technical personnel for 24 hours shifts, and invited well-known engineering experts for on-site guidance, ensuring the efficient construction.

The successful application of XCMG XTC80/55 double ringing slotter will promote the localization of such machinery, and promote the green development of China's underground diaphragm wall construction, which will surely shine in the construction during the “13th Five Year Plan” period.
