China’s World Highest Fire Truck Exported in Batch

On the morning of September 16, several XCMG Fire Trucks with 100m Elevating Platform, reputed as the world highest XCMG fire Trucks, lined up in batch, setting out for overseas region and symbolizing that the “Pillars of the Great Power”, which represent the most sophisticated technology of China construction machinery industry, officially make inroads into international market. These fire Trucks were set to board the ship at Shanghai Port and set out for Angola.

Fire truck with elevating platform boasts such functions as high-altitude rescue, firefighting, and emergency rescue, etc., making it a cutting-edge product amongst disaster relief equipments. Previously, domestic market almost depended fully on imported fire truck with elevating platform. The higher the special-purpose equipment is, the more hazardous the operation will become. However, XCMG with 70 years of technical accumulations always keeps focused on this market. Since 1995 when it firstly launched into the market the fire truck with 53m elevating platform, XCMG spent another 10 years to increase the elevating height by 15 meters. Later, it spent additional 5 years to increase the height by 20 meters more. Further increase of the elevating height by 20 meters only cost XCMG two years. So far, XCMG has raised the elevating height to 100 meters, and in turn the “Made in China” fire truck becomes the world highest one. In emergency, the fire truck with elevating platform is able to deliver the rescue force to the height equivalent to a building of 30 floors within only 10 minutes. By now, domestically manufactured fire trucks with different heights have been used in several major fire accidents and disaster relief missions.

As a technical innovation entity, a business may make substantial contributions to great improvement of the country’s technical level by making independent innovations. While being interviewed, Wang Min, chairman of XCMG, said that by exporting the world highest fire truck with 100m elevating platform, XCMG created a new record in export of fire truck with elevating platform of the maximum meters, and also it was the first time for China to export fire trucks with high elevating platform in batch. That will help accelerate China high-end equipment vendors’ pace in going global and serving the world.
