The line starts from Yan'an Station，Connect with the West Extension High-speed Railway under construction，Through Baota District, Yan'an City、Yanchuan County、Qingjian County, Yulin City、Suide County、Mizhi County、Hengshan District、Yuyang District，To the newly-built Yulin South Railway Station。

After the completion of the project，The railway from Xi'an to Yulin will run from the current fastest time of 4..5 hours reduced to 2.About 5 hours。
