This pre-commencement communication applies to all personnel moving MEWP in the workplace:

Users (who can control the use of MEWP on site);

Field managers and supervisors using MEWP operations;

MEWP operator.

preventive measures

Operators should receive training in the appropriate MEWP category and be familiar with the MEWP to be moved;

Keep the maximum walking distance between machine and machine;

Check your route before moving the MEWP;

Remove any obstructions and sundries on the route;

Set a cordon for this area

Focus on not being distracted (e.g., by your phone);

If visibility is poor, ask for help directing the machine;

Stand to one side when controlling machine movement;

Verify that ground conditions can support MEWP;

Check whether the direction of the machine and the controller match;

For caterpillar MEWP, never stand in the potential path of the caterpillar;
