SANY stands out when the world still in the downturn

On May 21, Nikkei, one of the world’s largest financial newspapers, commented on its Weibo post that Sany shows a robust momentum in the global machinery industry when the world still sticks in a downturn. This is followed as Nikkei’s third in-depth report regarding Sany.

Global industry suffers a sluggish period, while Sany grows vigorously

The construction machinery industry is expected to see further slump due to the COVID-19. Important markets across the globe such as North America and Indonesia are on a bearing of downturn pressure in 2020. When talking about Sany, Nikkei emphasized, the situation is completely different. The newspaper pointed out that Sany’s production lines have been operating at full capacity and it even has started to increase the number of production lines.

Sany, the third-largest construction machinery manufacturer in the world, not only occupies a 25% share of the Chinese market but also has an overseas business of great potential. In February of this year, for the first time, the total market value of Sany Heavy Machinery exceeded Komatsu which significantly marked as the milestone in the industry.

Buying momentum goes up despite the advancing price of Sany Excavator

Enterprises such as Sany have raised the price of construction machinery by 5-10% since April, but the procurement of Excavators shows no sign of abating.

In Shanghai, customers go directly to the SANY factory for the firsthand delivery of Excavators once they are off the assembly line. According to statistics from the China Construction Machinery Industry Association, sales of hydraulic excavators in China in April increased to 43,000 units with a 65% year-on-year growth. The monthly data in April even hit a record high.

Nikkei concluded the report with some Chinese securities’ observation that China's hydraulic excavator sales will still maintain the growth of more than 60% from May to June this year.
