Successful Launching of the First Electric Truck of XCMG Automobile

Recently, the first pure electric Truck which is developed independently by XCMG Automobile has been successfully launched. This indicates that XCMG Automobile has taken a big step forward in R&D, design and manufacturing of new energy Trucks, and made another breakthrough in independent innovation, thereby increasing powerful weights for occupying market segments.

The electric Truck integrates energy saving and consumption reduction technology, light-weight technology and safety protection measures. In comparison with the traditional Truck, the electric Truck has higher energy utilization efficiency, and the use cost of the electric Truck is only 1/6 that of a fuel Truck, thus saving 0.5 yuan per kilometer on an average and creating more economic benefits to users. The electric Truck uses the braking energy recovery technology; during braking, the motor can realize regenerative braking, and 10%-15% energy can be recovered, thereby increasing the distance per charge. The electric Truck is equipped with a cab top dome, and the shape of the freight box with skirt boards is optimized, thus remarkably reducing air resistance during high speed driving. The battery has ultra-high safety through topology optimization, topography optimization, size optimization, heat dissipation analysis and thermal runaway prevention analysis as well as shock-resistant fatigue, impact, stone strike, extrusion and collision tests in the design process.
