Itaipava Arena Fonte Nova in Salvador is also a successful case. The stadium, specially constructed for the World Cup, has a capacity of 52,048 people. Six matches will be held here. However, not all went smoothly. Actually, there were some reports saying that Brazil stadiums would not be delivered on time due to the bad weather, construction accidents and strikes. And Arena Corinthians was one among these stadiums.

Arena Corinthians is the venue for the opening ceremony World Cup 2014 Brazil. Its construction is started on August 27, 2010 upon the joint announcement of the president of Brazil, the governor of the State of Sao Paulo and the major of the city of Sao Paulo.
