XCMG Ranks Top 10 in Global Construction Machinery Enterprises Rank, Up by 5 Places in 2009

        XCMG Group ranks 10th among global construction machinery manufacturers according to the recent 2010 Top 50 of World Construction Machinery ranking released by International Construction, a UK-based magazine and authority in the worldwide construction industry. This is the first time XCMG Group has ranked in the global top 10, up by 5 places in 2009 and 18 places in 2008.
        The rankings are based on the 2009 distribution volume of manufacturers’ construction machine products. Also included in the top 10 are a number of global machinery icons: Caterpillar (USA), Komatsu (Japan), Terex Corporation (USA), Volvo Construction Equipment (Sweden), Liebherr (Germany), Hitachi (Japan), John Deere (USA), Case New Holland (USA), Sandvik Mining Construction Machinery (Sweden). Aside from XCMG, seven other Chinese companies rank in the top 50, including Zoomlion (17), Sany Group (21), Changlin Machinery Group (23), LiuGong Construction Machinery (27), Lonking Machinery (38), Xiagong Machinery (39) and Shantui Construction Machinery.(41).
        In the last two years, the growth rate in world construction machinery industry has declined; however, the industry in China, led by XCMG Group, has felt little impact, thriving on in increasing transformation through enterprise innovation. The contrarian growth of XCMG serves as a model for its counterparts worldwide.
        At present, XCMG’s production lines cover nearly all categories of construction machinery, most of which are top ranked in domestic market share and export from China, including the world’s largest Truck_crane/ 'target='_blank' style='color:blue;'>Truck Crane production volume. Furthermore, XCMG has built the top national technology research center in China, enabling 20% of XCMG’s products reach advanced international levels. With revenue surpassing 50 bn RMB last year, XCMG aims to reach 100 bn RMB in revenue by 2015 and rank in the top 5 global construction machinery manufacturers, becoming a key player in the international construction machinery and equipment manufacturing industry.
