KLEEMANN machines win German Design Award 2020

KLEEMANN receives the German Design Award 2020 for the MOBICAT MC 120 Z PRO jaw Crusher and the MOBISCREEN MS 702 EVO screening plant.

The German Design Award is awarded annually by the German Design Council. The mission of the German brand and design authority is to represent the current design scene and to make high-quality design visible. Founded in 1953, the Council only awards nominations for the German Design Award for excellent design achievements. Finally, projects that are groundbreaking in the German and international design landscape are honoured. The award is decided by an international jury of experts made up of representatives from industry, universities and design. The award winners in the category Excellent Product Design - Vehicles/ 'target='_blank' style='color:blue;'>Utility Vehicles include the MOBICAT MC 120 Z PRO jaw Crusher and the MOBICSREEN MS 702 EVO mobile screening plant from KLEEMANN in 2020.

MOBICAT MC 120 Z PRO: awarded for compact design despite its size and convenient operation

The mobile jaw Crusher MC 120 Z PRO is an uncompromising plant that crushes up to 650 t/h of rock. Despite its robustness, the Crusher features a compact design. This allows the machine to be transported in one piece with a maximum weight of 83 tonnes. This enhances the flexibility of the machine and allows different applications at different locations. The plant is equipped with a powerful yet efficient diesel-electric drive. Crushers, conveyor belts, screens and chutes are electrically driven. For an even more environmentally friendly operation, an external power supply is optionally available.

The plant is operated on a 12-inch touch panel via the intuitive SPECTIVE control concept. This allows, for example, the crushing gap to be adapted to a new application with just a few commands. The operator is guided through the menu step by step. Operating errors are thus reduced and productivity increased. The well thought-out design of the machine is constructed along the material flow and allows easy access from all sides.

The clear design of the MOBICAT MC 120 Z PRO mobile jaw Crusher convinced the jury members. The plant is easily accessible from all sides and can be transported in one piece.

MOBISCREEN MS 702 EVO: environmentally friendly drive and functional design particularly impressed the jury

The MOBISCREEN EVO screening plant is characterized by high performance, low fuel consumption and high flexibility. Short set-up times and very good transport properties, such as the compact design and low weight, allow flexible use of the screening system. Thanks to the intelligent control panel, the machine is intuitive and easy to operate. The good accessibility of the machine makes changing the screen lining easy and thus meets the highest safety and ergonomic requirements. The dual power option with external power source enables even more environmentally friendly operation.
