Ammann Compactors at Work on Large Serbian Construction Project

The most modern road in Serbia is under construction – and Ammann Compactors are playing a key role in its development.

Leading the charge is a recently purchased Ammann ARX 90 Tandem Roller. It is being joined by several Ammann AP 240 Pneumatic Tyred Rollers as well as a small Ammann Tandem Roller and ASC 110/130 Soil Compactor.

Tehnogradnja doo Kruševac is the roadbuilder constructing much of the 112-km Morava Corridor. It is described as the most modern road in Serbia not only for its design and engineering, but because fiber optic cable is being placed to help link drivers with technology.

Tehnogradnja doo Kruševac is also constructing the Kruševac-Čačak segment and connection roads. Construction began in May and will be completed in phases through 2025.

The larger project includes a total of eight highways and 16 expressways. Among other benefits, the Morava Corridor will connect Montenegro with key areas of Serbia.

The Ammann ARX 90, with an operating weight of 9560 kg, is compacting asphalt layers being placed for the road. An efficient vibratory system delivers high compaction output. Both drums have an independent vibratory pump. Adjustment of amplitude and frequency is easy.

Tehnogradnja doo Krusevac was founded in 1994 by Mr. Janko Miletić. The firm has about 270 employees and revenue of 50 million euros last year.

Mr. Miletić has a good relationship with the local Ammann Dealer, NS Union Tehnika, located in Novi Sad.
