Ready to Move into a New Era: President Xi's Visit Inspires XCMG

During his recent visit to Xuzhou, President Xi Jinping emphasized that every department of each local government must embrace the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress and aim to implement the policy decisions and plans of the 19th CPC Central Committee from the ground up in order to successfully launch a new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics.

Xi's words inspired both the local party cadres and the citizens who were on hand. Attendees expressed support for his vision, reaffirming their commitment to meet the new requirements of Xi’s plan for the future of socialism with Chinese characteristics.

President Xi made the first stop of his tour of Xuzhou at Xuzhou Construction Machinery Co., Ltd (XCMG). He inspected the workshop assembly line and personally boarded the cab of a crane. Zhu Changjian, a designer for XCMG, can still recall the fresh memory of his conversation with President.

Zhu said, "President Xi was very contented when he heard that many of these designs were pioneering worldwide. He encouraged us to focus on technology innovation, in this way, we can grow from large industrial country to powerful industrial country."

Innovation serves as the source of enterprises core competitiveness. Xi made special note of the importance of innovation, remarking that we must work to develop the patience and confidence to strive for independent innovation. These observations strengthened Wang Min’s faith in current developmental trends.

Wang Min, Chairman of XCMG, said with confidence, "We will cherish every minute to implement the development goal of 19th CPC National Congress and strive to be a innovation-driven and world-class enterprise."

To meet President Xi's lofty goals, XCMG plans to improve their CNC rate next year from 59% to 95%, while also exporting its products to more than 200 countries and regions.

Liu Jiansen, General Manager of XCMG Imp.&Exp. Co., Ltd, said, "President Xi’s inspection greatly encouraged us! We must contribute to the world a world-class brand from China."

"We must commit to meeting the requirements of this new era to drive reform and development", announced President Xi, marking the first challenge put forward by Xi during his first domestic visit after the 19th CPC National Congress. Staffs of XCMG responded positively, pledging to work hard to lead China into a new era of prosperity, achieve the Chinese dream, and ensure the bright future of Chinese society.
