XCMG Float Shows up at Celebration of Sultan’s 50th Anniversary on Throne and Wins Praises from Bruneians

Recently, Brunei held a grand ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah’s accession to the throne. XCMG, together with its Bruneian dealer BUILD MIX TRADING, decorated a unique and creative float to celebrate the Sultan’s golden jubilee. The float was decorated in a cannon and shield shape to symbolize the defense of the national territory, the country, and the people’s safety. The float won acclaim during the parade and was rated as the most creative float.

The highlights of the celebration included a 21 gun salute, the Sultan Hassanal’s review of the guard of honor in the palace, and the procession of the Sultan Hassanal and royal family members along the main streets of the capital city, Bandar Seri Begawan. It was reported that the parade was participated by about 80,000 people (about 2 percent of the population) who were overwhelmingly passionate and packed the streets tightly.

Since the entry into the Bruneian market in 2011, XCMG has found its brand awareness continue to improve, especially from January to September 2017, when its products sales in Brunei reached nearly 10 million US dollars, accounting for over 70% of the export market share. XCMG’s equipment was used in different engineering and infrastructure construction projects including the Temburong Bridge, the oil refinery in the PMB Island, and airport renovation and expansion to continue to improve the living environment and contribute to the well-being of local people.
