XCMG Indonesia Opens to Expand XCMG’s Overseas Footprint!

The grand opening ceremony of XCMG Indonesia was held in Westin Jakarta on May 30, 2017. Mr. Hu Xiaoshan, First Secretary of the Economic & Commercial Counsellor's Office of Chinese Embassy in Indonesia, together with more than 100 guests from Power Construction Corporation Indonesia, Jakarta-Bandung Project Department of China Railway Group and ACSET were present to witness the opening of XCMG Indonesia. Local popular media, including Bisnis Indonesia, Indonesia Industry and The Jakarta Post, covered the opening ceremony.

Mr. Hu Xiangyang, Deputy General Manager of XCMG Import & Export Co., Ltd., briefed the 25-year history of XCMG in Indonesia during his interview with local media. XCMG Indonesia will join hands with local distributors and provide local customers with improved one-stop experience, said Mr. Hu when he talked about the strategic planning and market layout of XCMG Indonesia. The company will support benign development of distributors and promote sustainable development of XCMG in Indonesia, laying a solid foundation for XCMG to increase its influence upon the entire Asia Pacific regions.

XCMG signs cooperative agreement with partners

As the largest economy in Southeast Asia, one of the founding members of ASEAN and a member of G20, Indonesia has played a significant role in politics and economics of Southeast Asian regions. It enjoys a vital strategic geographical location and connects Asia, Oceania, the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean as a transportation hub, making the country a key link for China’s “Belt and Road” Initiative. In addition, Indonesia is an important overseas market for XCMG’s global expansion. The volumes of XCMG’s export to Indonesia increase by over 100% in two years in a row. By the end of 2016, XCMG has ranked the top in terms of market shares of loader, crane, rotary drill rig, Tower Crane and tunneling machine in Indonesia.

Since the entry into the Indonesian market, XCMG has taken active participation in engineering projects and infrastructure construction of local highway, railway, power facilities, airport and commercial facilities. These projects include INDONESIA-ONE, Indonesia’s No. 1 high-rise; 2×1050MW No. 7 Independent Power Generation Project in Java, the largest thermal power station ever in Indonesia; tunnel construction for Gatti Gedi Dam Project; and Jakarta-Bandung Project. XCMG Indonesia will help support and promote XCMG in Indonesia.
