Zoomlion Signs Long-term Cooperation Agreement With Belarus' Ministry of Industry in Beijing to Open New Age for "Belt & Road" Construction

On September 29, witnessed by Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko, Zoomlion and Belarus' Ministry of Industry signed a long-term cooperation agreement at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The agreement covers in-depth cooperation projects such as construction machinery, agricultural machinery and environmental & sanitary machinery.

During meeting with President Lukashenko, President Xi stressed that the two sides should jointly accelerate the construction of projects along "the Belt and Road" and advance the effective connection of "the Belt and Road" with the Eurasian Economic Union.

Xi added that efforts should be made to achieve early results in fields such as transportation, logistics, energy, IT and machinery manufacturing, speed up the construction of China-Belarus Industrial Park, develop local cooperation, and accomplish advantage complementation and coordinated development.

The two heads of state witnessed the signing of bilateral cooperation documents in fields such as diplomacy, economic trade, investment, education, technology, finance, agriculture, tourism and the construction of "the Belt and Road". The long-term cooperation agreement signed by Zoomlion with Belarus' Ministry of Industry marks that China's equipment manufacturing represented by Zoomlion is carrying out international industrial capacity cooperation and going global under the national strategy of "the Belt and Road".

Belarusian President Lukashenko met with a delegation from Hunan Province in Belarus on August 29, 2016. In the meeting, he spoke highly of the high-efficiency cooperation in R&D and production between Zoomlion and Belarus' time-honored manufacturer MAZ, hailing the meeting as "a good start after China-Belarus cooperation enters the new stage of implementing heavily-invested projects". 

In May 2015, witnessed by President Xi and President Lukashenko, Zoomlion moved into China-Belarus Industrial Park as one of the first group of enterprises. Only six months later, the first batch of equipment jointly assembled by Zoomlion and MAZ, including 40t/60t Truck_crane/ 'target='_blank' style='color:blue;'>Truck Cranes and 16t Road Sweepers, rolled off the line, earning high praise from Belarus' Minister of Industry Vitaly Vovk. On August 29, 2016, Zoomlion signed a strategic cooperation agreement with MAZ. Under this agreement, the two sides will jointly manufacture and assembly environmental & sanitary equipment, lifting equipment and concrete equipment in Mogilev Region, Belarus. Zoomlion also signed a cooperation agreement on the local manufacturing and assembly of Tower Cranes with Strommashina, a construction machinery company in Belarus.
