Georgian dealer sells 100thSDLG loader

SDLG Wheel Loaders are rapidly becoming the best-selling Wheel Loaders in Georgia, says Elite Motors,as the Tbilisi-based dealercelebrates a significant milestone.

 

Elite Motors, the Georgian dealer of SDLG Wheel Loaders is celebrating the sale of its 100th unit, cementing SDLG as the market leader for wheel loaders in Eastern Europe.

This news comes just prior to the launch of SDLG’s new wheel loader range, available as of June 2016. The new 2.5-cubic-yard capacity L938F and the 3-cubic-yard capacity L937F wheel loaders will replace the existing LG938L and LG948L models. Later in the year, the larger L958F and L959F will also be rolled out.

“The Georgian market for construction equipment is actually decreasing for yellow machines,” says Guga Klibadze, sales manager at Elite Motors, who explains that Elite Motors’ success has been won in spite of a tough domestic market.

 

In recent years, Georgia has been affected by low oil prices and the economic downturn in its trade partner and neighbour,Russia. The tradable sector has suffered the most, with industrial production contracting by 1% in 2015. As a result, GDP growth moderated from 4.6% in 2014 to 2.8% in 2015.Growth is forecast at 2.9% in 2016, accelerating to 3.4% in 2017.

 

“I think the reason why we have been able to remain buoyant is simply because SDLG machines are of a better quality than many of its competitors,” continues Kilbadze.“The machines are durable; the parts are durable, including the bucket and teeth. The axles are well made. And the DEUTZ engines fitted to these machines are reliable power units.”

 

However, Klibadze understands that it’s important not to get too comfortable. “We are always searching for opportunities to present new models,” he says.“With the launch of SDLG’s new series of wheel loaders – all of which have a uniform, modern design and improved specifications – we hope to maintain and grow our market share and continue to be the leader in terms of wheel loaders.”

Elite Motors, together with SDLG, will hold an event to celebrate the sale of the 100th machine at its headquarters in Tbilisi, Georgia later in the year.
