Held in May 7th, the "XCMG Cup" Green Innovation Design Competition Launch Ceremony made people excited. In the ceremony, the competition plan was released and more important, XCMG and AliCloud announced to jointly build XCMG-Cloud. This move made insiders excited. XCMG, the leading enterprise in China’s construction machinery industry was about to launch a "Internet + cloud + manufacturing" reform to actively participate in the tide of "Made in China 2025" and " Industry 4.0", lifting the industrial ecology to a higher level.
Finding a true friend
Not long ago, Ali Group officially announced that it has grown into the world's largest retail trading platform, and AliCloud was the basis of its rapid growth. In the fiscal year 2016, the revenue of AliCloud has reached 3.019 billion yuan, an increase of 138% over the previous year, becoming the world's third largest cloud computing service provider after Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure.
"Compared with the United States, the 'cloud' has greater market in China," said Jin Jie, General Manager of Alibaba Cloud Computing Co., Ltd. Nanjing Branch. "New things always need time to be accepted. The 'cloud' technology now faces embarrassed situation in China. Many enterprises neither understand nor accept the technology. I was always called as ‘city slicker’. Of course there are companies willing to try, but they often lack abundant foundation or ability to promote it."
Jin also told us that it was XCMG that took the initiative to construct the industrial cloud, which made them both astonished and excited. When they heard this program was firstly proposed by Chairman Wang Min, they felt flattered.
"We talked on the phone on weekends, and had a face to face communication on Monday. We found we have the same concepts, ideas and the pursuit, which made the project progress smoothly. Especially, XCMG’s comprehensive information and data system has provided a solid foundation." Jin Jie was so excited when mentioning the cooperation with XCMG, "XCMG said it will work with AliCloud to build China's Predix platform, which included China's industrial information and data. Wisdom on cloud
"XCMG Cup" Green Innovation Design Competition was the trigger point of the cooperation. As one of the important industrial design competitions of Jiangsu Province, the competition has attracted continuous attention since its release on April 20, 2016 in Nanjing.
The competition is one of the 14 global precise welfare projects promoted by Chairman Wang Min with the concept of "global welfare, precision welfare”. The competition will last till late October. Themed with "changing world with the cloud”, and focusing on the industrial design of environmental cleaning equipment, XCMG collects designs from the world to arouse people’s concerns on environmental protection and green development with more creative and useful products highlighting the obligation “XCMG makes the world better”.
In the future, with strongly inclusive XCMG-Cloud, massive data will be fully shared, so that the world's wisdom can be integrated to create more possibilities.
Cloud ecology

Use cloud to reform

In fact, as early as in 2009, XCMG has started the information technology upgrading project. Currently it has formed a whole chain information system including research, production, supply, sales and service, accumulating 150T industrial data which are being applied in intelligent manufacturing, remote fault diagnosis, and after-market service. The deep fusion of informationization and industrialization has provided fertile soil for the construction of XCMG-cloud.
