On January 11, under the theme “To Tackle Challenges with Confidence and Adaptability”, SDLG held Business Conference 2016 in Jinan. Wang Zhizhong, Chairman of SDLG, Yu Mengsheng, President of SDLG, and Wen Degang, General Manager of SDLG, attended the conference together with leaders concerned from Volvo, some senior executives of SDLG, directors of departments of operational business, and over 200 dealers.

Chairman Wang Zhizhong delivered an important speech under the title of “To Jointly Cope with the Most Difficult Problems with Firm Confidence and Faster Transformation”. He indicated that only by understanding industrial situation, economic situation, and dividend from corporate changes clearly can we strengthen our confidence in the development of SDLG. Facing a new round of industrial competitions, a higher concentration implies an opportunity to increase market share; there is renewal demands in a saturated market with a high rate of equipment ownership, which provides a stable market capacity for future industrial market. According to the new development ideas and supply-side reform carried out during the “13th Five-year Plan” period (from 2016 to 2020), China will make economic progress while maintaining stability and further improve industrial environment. As to SDLG, through reforming marketing system and mechanism, we will focus on solving institutional and structural problems that restrict our marketing competitiveness to become vital and strengthen our capacity of operating the whole value chain. The above-mentioned factors have strengthened our confidence greatly. “Faster Transformation” requires that tasks shall be assigned for preliminary results within one year, great results within two years, and major updates within three years, ensuring that transformation and upgrade can be completed in a fast-paced and efficient way and that each node can be controlled strictly. “To Jointly Cope with the Most Difficult Problems”, firstly, we need improve the competitiveness of our products more quickly and offer highly competitive product mix as soon as possible; secondly, we need improve the marketing capacity of our front-line sales teams and speed up the improvement of our capability of marketing management; thirdly, we need ensure that risks are controllable and further expand our market share. Fourthly, we need strengthen our marketing teams to establish a high-quality team with high combat effectiveness.

President Yu Mensheng delivered a speech under the title of “Firm Confidence, Accurate Positioning, and Higher Efficiency for the Future”. He analyzed industrial situation and the current situation of SDLG’s marketing, and pointed out problems and corresponding solutions. As he required, for the purpose of achieving sustainable development, al dealers of SDLG shall focus on the industry, team efficiency, product positioning, customer value, and key markets, and improve management, profitability, market shares, post-market diversification, and risk control.

General Manager Wen Degang delivered a work report. He concluded the transformation and upgrade results that SDLG obtained in 2015 and that SDLG accelerated transformation to a quality- and benefits-oriented growth mode by actively tackling downward pressure and the serious challenge of sharp decline in the industrial market in 2015. In 2016, SDLG will focus on benefits, correct our imperfections in marketing, stably expand our market shares, reduce risks in our operations, further improve product quality, promote product upgrade, and fully advance technological and management innovation.

Additionally, leaders of modules related to new products and services elaborated upon main work arrangement for 2016 from several respects, including strengthening basic research on core technologies and manufacturing of core components and parts, deeply implementing “grass roots-oriented” product strategy, improving product competitiveness, fully achieving technological innovation, focusing on market operation improvement and market share increase, deeply implementing value and targeted marketing, establishing service brand in a better way, strengthening response to users’ demands, accelerating transformation to a service-oriented marketing pattern, and quickening market internalization.
