XCMG Complete Road Equipment Paves a “Sky Road” on 4200m Highland

Gongyu Road starts from Qiabuqia Town, Hainan Autonomous Prefacture, Qinghai Province, and connects with the section of Beijing-Tibet Expressway (Gonghe Road to Chaka Road) and ends at Jiegu Town (Xinzhaidong), Yushu County. The entire road is longer than 630km with an investment of more than ten billion yuan. It crosses the permafrost regions throughout. The permafrost section is 227.7km, accounting for 35.8% of the entire route. The altitude of the entire route is above 4200m.

This first high-altitude and high-cold expressway crossing over the permafrost regions in Tibet Plateau creates a miracle in the Tibet Plateau road history.
