Upgraded engineering strength

Among the machines on show was the 17.4 t SDLG L956F wheel loader. This machine is specially designed for heavy-duty, all-day operation at open quarries or mining sites. The low-revs, high-torque Tier III engine comes with a rated breakout force of 175 kN which improves fuel economy and is low on emissions. The widened chassis provides stronger stability on rough terrain, while the reconfigured cab increases space by 15% and improves both visibility and operator comfort.

Another popular wheel loader attracting the crowds at BICES was the SDLG L968F. A higher-end wheel loader on the heavier side of the range, the machine is popular in construction, mining and aggregates applications. The 20 t machine comes with a low-revs, high torque engine that is low on emissions and high on fuel economy. With a self-devised VRT200 rigid-axle transmission converter and synchronized four-speed transmission, the L968F offers improved stability on rough terrain and better traction in dangerous conditions. The machine’s hydraulic elements are centrally arranged for easy maintenance and service, while the enlarged cab improves visibility and operator comfort.

Also shown at the event was the 37.7 t SDLG LG6360F hydraulic crawler Excavator which features a high-torque 13 l engine that delivers power in an energy-efficient manner. Configured with an innovative double-pump hydraulic control system, the excavator works efficiently, delivering power where it is needed most, while also offering multiple work modes. The ergonomic cab design features air conditioning and all-round glass for maximum visibility. The GPS system makes the machine easy to track and operate, while the widened X-shaped chassis gives the machine enhanced stability on rough ground.

In total there were five SDLG-branded excavators on display ranging from the 3.6 t SDLG E635F to the 45 t E6460F. Configured with Tier III engines and hydraulic control systems, the machines offer excellent fuel efficiency as well as multiple attachments to suit diverse jobsite conditions.

In addition to the new launches were popular best-sellers including the SDLG B877 Backhoe Loader. This unit has been popular in the Middle East since it was launched at the end of 2014, it was also recently launched to the African market at Bauma Africa to meet the increasing demand from the mining and road building sectors. With reliability and performance at its core, the versatile B877 can handle a wide variety of jobs.

Visitors to the show also had the opportunity to view a range of SDLG wheel loaders including the 36 t L9120F with a Tier III engine and breakout force of up to 360kN. Also on display was a line-up of Road Machinery including the compact rollers RD7140, RS7260 and the RP9300, the G9220 motor Grader and the MT88 off-highway dump Truck. In total there were 14 machines on the SDLG booth, plus a large outdoor demonstration area, where customers were able to interact with company representatives and discuss their equipment needs.
