XCMG Import & Export Holds “Quality Promotion” Campaign in Ethiopia

In order to support the development of Ethiopia’s infrastructure and to accelerate poverty reduction in Ethiopia, the Ethiopia Office of XCMG Import & Export Co., Ltd. and Ethiopia Office of China North Industries Co., Ltd. launched “XCMG 2014 Ethiopia Quality Promotion” campaign.

The Ethiopia “Quality Promotion” team went as far south as southern states, as far north as Tigray Region, as far east as Somali Region, and as far west as Benishangul-Gumuz Region and visited a total of 19 customers, having traveled nearly fifty thousand kilometers.

When the team arrived at a place, they did not look for food or place to live but went to work first. They usually went to the construction sites at 4:00 am and did not leave until the end of the day. Sometimes they had no water to drink so they had to drink river water. Sometimes it was too dark to hurry on with their journey, they slept in “houses” that were made of tree branches; some houses had a quilt, while others only had a bed. But these difficulties did not stop our quality promotion team. They detected the products one by one, teaching users or operating personnel how to operate the machines safely and how to maintain the machines properly. Their painstaking efforts are rewarded with customers’ thanks and praise.
