XCMG Crane Winning TOP50 Goldfinger Award for a Third Time for Its Supremacy in Quality and Applicability

On March 19, 2014, China Construction Machinery Development Forum & China Construction Machinery TOP 50 Awards Ceremony was held in Beijing InterContinental Hotel. XCMG’s XCL800 Wheeled Truss Crane topped the list, winning “Goldfinger" award as expected. This is the third time that XCMG’s crane wins TOP50 Goldfinger Award. XCMG’s QAY800 Crane, QAY1200 Crane won the award in the last two consecutive years.

XCL800 wheeled truss crane is characterized by fast moving and heavy lifting performance with lifting capacity of 800t. Hydraulic screw axle puller is specially designed for quick assembly /disassembly of truss jib. Its multiple-jib combination technology is widely applicable to all kinds of construction operations (e.g. installation of Wind Turbine with capacity over 3MW) for large petroleum, chemical, bridge, nuclear power, hydropower projects, etc.

In September 2013, XCL800 wheeled truss crane was used for hoisting 1300t girder crane –the heaviest girder crane in Asia that is used for aqueduct construction of South-North Water Diversion Project, one of China’s key projects of strategic importance. The central line of South-North Water Diversion Project is dominated by complicated geological conditions and the aqueduct works, the largest one in the world nowadays, is, technically, most difficult part of South-North Water Diversion Project in central line.

XCL800 wheeled truss crane is designed with master jib (36 ~ 150 m), service jib (12m), tower type jib (30 ~ 102m) and telescopic-boom (36m). Its multiple-jib combination system is applicable to varied operation conditions. XCL800 wheeled truss crane can lift girder crane 45m over the ground (with a working radius of 40m). It has been successfully operated in disassembly of girder crane used for largest aqueduct works in Asia with its powerful, exquisite and reliable performance.

XCL800 wheeled truss crane has also been successfully used for Yinchuan 3.0 MW wind power project, synthesizing tower hoisting for a large chemical project in Jinan, Shandong province. 　　

So many engineering practices witness superb performances and high reliability of XCL800 wheeled truss crane. “Construction efficiency is almost doubled, construction cost is reduced by 30~40%,” a customer said, “it’s reliable and high quality performance has tested by a variety of roads and construction conditions.” In the next 3 to 5 years, XCL800 wheeled truss crane will be used for wind farm built in hilly site and petrochemical equipment maintenance and it will make more contributions to wind power, petrochemical projects, etc.
