SEM Completes First Pilot Build of Natural Gas Powered Wheel Loader

Shandong SEM Machinery Co., Ltd. (SEM) is continuing its focus on new energy technology as part of its ongoing commitment to develop environmentally clean, fuel-efficient products for the industry. With the collective efforts, the team successfully completed the first pilot build of 650B Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) powered Wheel Loader in February.
 

As an efficient energy source primarily composed of methane and a clean burning fossil fuel used in both power generation and as a transportation fuel, natural gas makes up more than 20 percent of the world's total energy consumption. LNG has a much higher storage density than compressed natural gas, making it more suitable as an alternative to diesel fuel without sacrificing durability and productivity. Meanwhile, LNG is produced both worldwide and domestically at a relatively lower cost and will be highly beneficial since the rising fuel prices continue.
