On the morning of 6th July German time, XCMG Europe held a grand foundation laying ceremony in Krefeld, Germany. Mr Zhu Min, acting Mayor of Xuzhou, Mr Gregor kathsteds, Mayor of Krefeld, Mr Garrelt Duin, Minister of Economy, Trade and Handicrafts in Nordrhein-Westfalen, Mr Wang Xiting, Deputy Consul-General of the Chinese Consulate General in Frankfurt, Mr Wang Min, President of XCMG, project members of XCMG Europe, some components providers and a large number of Chinese and foreign media got together to witness this milestone moment.
XCMG Europe is located in Krefeld, covering an area of 16,400 square meters with the investment of more than 36 million euros. The company positions itself as a leading science and technology oriented corporation with a number of different zones. For instance, the Function Zone includes administration, business and technology areas, while the Technology Zone includes R&D, mechanical processing, product demonstration and outdoor testing areas with the focus on coping with the key technologies of core components such as hydraulic valves, pumps, motors, and intelligent control.
XCMG Europe is scheduled to complete the construction and commence the operation in July 2013. It will provide a platform and an incubator center of top talents for XCMG’s High-End Technology Center of Hydraulic Transmission and the cooperation of complete machine technology. In addition, XCMG Europe will become the European technology headquarters.
XCMG Europe will work with two hydraulic valve and system manufacturing enterprises acquired by XCMG – FT and AMCA Holland to achieve strong strategic synery in R&D and operation, make ground-breaking achievement in R&D and manufacturing of the high-end components, provide XCMG with a comprehensive supporting platform in terms of purchasing, investment, sales and talented personnel, and try to contribute to the local society and become a good local enterprise in Europe.
Mr Wang Min, President of XCMG said that the European Strategy is of great significance in terms of the overall objectives and strategy of XCMG. Germany and Europe are home to abundant technological resources that represent the state-of-the-art R&D and manufacturing in the world. In the future, XCMG will develop more projects in Europe, carrying out system integration and construction of leading technology projects so as to facilitate XCMG to become a world-class enterprise.

This year, the scale of operation of XCMG will achieve more than RMB 100 billion yuan, and the export of XCMG is expected to surpass $1.6 billion. By 2015, the scale of operation of XCMG will have reached RMB 300 billion yuan.
