All-terrain Crane National Standards XCMG Led in Drafting Released

March 07, 2012

The All-terrain Crane National Standards that XCMG took the lead in drafting and making passed acceptance review and received approval from the national standardization authorities and was officially released by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and National Standardization Administration recently, to go into force nationwide as from 1 July 2012. The promulgation and enactment of the Standards will help regularize all-terrain crane industrial technologies and consummate the standard system of hoisting machinery industry in China.

China used to have only a number of simple all-terrain crane definitions in the JB/T 1375-1992 Truck_crane/ 'target='_blank' style='color:blue;'>Truck Crane and Rubber Tired Crane Classification, with no relevant national and industrial standards. In face of the continuous development of the engineering machinery industry, the absence of national and industrial standards puts serious constraints on the development of the sector. To address the issue, XCMG made an application for the drafting and making of all-terrain crane national standards. Based on careful studies on the technical parameters and production/application situation of all-terrain cranes at home and abroad, following the designing principle of “safety, reliability, sophistication and environment-friendliness”, and drawing from the most advanced designing concepts and technologies in the world, XCMG took the lead in drafting the All-terrain Crane National Standards, which eventually received the recognition of national standardization authorities.
