World’s largest 3000t crawler crane goes into production at XCMC

Recently, the world’s largest Crawler Crane, the XGC88000 went into production at XCMG Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. With a maximum hoisting capacity of more than 3,600 tons and a maximum hoisting torque of 88,000 ton meters, XGC88000 is the world’s largest and most advanced Crawler Crane, it will be used in fields such as petrochemical, coal chemical and nuclear power construction.

XGC88000 is a project under the National 863 Program as well as a joint development project between XCMG and Sinopec. In 2010, XCMC and Sinopec made an agreement to develop 3000t Crawler Cranes together. In October 2011, due to rich experience in R & D and practical applications of super crawler cranes, XCMG’s super crawler crane project was included in the 863 Program by the Ministry of Science and Technology. XCMG will produce 3500t super crawler cranes in the “twelfth five-year” period.

Since being manufactured, using safe and reliable quality and advanced and optimal technology XCMG’s 1000t and 2000t crawler cranes have successfully hoisted large equipment dozens of times, thus establishing their leading role in the field of large construction machinery. XGC88000’s R & D has pioneered the progress of China’s construction machinery industry in this product sector, marking a new milestone for world crawler crane technology.
