Asia’s largest-tonnage rotary drilling rig XR460D with self-manufactured chassis launched

On November 21, the workshop of Xuzhou Xugong Foundation Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. brimmed with joy. Asia’s largest-tonnage Rotary Drilling Rig XR460D with a self-manufactured chassis was launched in deafening sound of firecrackers.
XR460D is a high-tech operable, high-efficiency, environment-friendly and energy-conserving Rotary Drilling Rig independently developed by the company based on XCMG’s large Rotary Drilling Rig manufacturing and research platform. With a maximum drilling diameter of 3m and a maximum drilling depth of 112m, the model was developed for large aperture, deep pile and hard formation construction, is Asia’s largest-tonnage rotary drilling rig with a self-manufactured chassis, and is widely used in pile foundation construction in large projects such as cross-river and cross-sea bridges.
With a self-manufactured chassis, the model was developed independently and its major parts are fully localized. With a short production period and low cost, the model is competitive in the market. As customer demands for large aperture, deep pile and hard formation construction increase, the model will occupy a larger market share.
XR460D’s launch is a strong support for XCMG’s strategy of expanding and improving its sector of construction machinery and core parts and entering the field of high-end equipment manufacturing in the future.
