The concept Vehicle for this demonstration experiment is based on the medium-sized hydraulic excavator of Komatsu.，By employing a hydrogen fuel cell system manufactured by Toyota Motor Corporation、Hydrogen storage tank and core components and total control technology independently developed by Komatsu.，In the realization “Zero emission”While significantly reducing noise and vibration，It has the same powerful excavation performance and high operability as the excavator driven by fuel engine.。

Compared with the small construction machinery which has taken the lead in electrification.，Large and medium-sized construction machinery has higher requirements for high energy density power source.。Compared with the battery widely used in small construction machinery,，Hydrogen has a higher energy density.，And the filling of the hydrogen fuel can be completed in a shorter time than the charging of the battery.，Therefore, it is considered to be an effective option for the power source of medium and large construction machinery.。The goal is to realize the mass production of hydrogen fuel cell large and medium-sized construction machinery in the near future.，Relevant work is accelerating.。
