Chantiers de France and DLR Grand Prix Matériels: Martin Schickel named person of the year

Martin Schickel joined the Liebherr Group in 1977 as a quality controller at Liebherr-France, Colmar. After moving to sales administration in 1988, he became sales administration manager in 1995. In 2001, he was named assistant managing director of Liebherr-Location France SAS, a company based in Niederhergheim that provides rental of Liebherr earthmoving machines in France. He took up the post of managing director of the company in 2006. He went on to acquire further responsibilities, becoming managing director of Liebherr-Mietpartner (Liebherr’s rental business in Germany) in 2010 and then of Liebherr Rental Limited UK (Liebherr’s rental business in the United Kingdom) in 2012. Since the 1st of June 2015, he has been progressively scaling back his responsibilities in the Liebherr rental companies so as to concentrate full-time on his role as general commercial manager at Liebherr-France SAS in Colmar and Liebherr-Nouvelle-Calédonie SAS in Nouméa (New Caledonia).
