On February 11, the national development and reform commission (NDRC) issued a reply on the second phase of xuzhou's urban rail transit plan (2019-2024) in jiangsu province, agreeing to the second phase of xuzhou's urban rail transit plan and the second phase of line 3, which also means the expansion of xuzhou's subway line to six lines.

According to the National Development and Reform Commission approval, to better support the xuzhou urban area development, enhance the level of public transport services and improve the urban comprehensive transportation system, the principle agreed to xuzhou the second phase of the construction of urban rail transit planning, the construction of the second phase of line 3 and line 4 issue, the first phase of line 5, line 6 issue of four projects, such as planning for 2019-2024.

According to the requirements of the national development and reform commission, in the planning and implementation process, xuzhou should coordinate the urban development process, construction conditions and financial resources according to the principles of modern, safe, efficient, green and economic, and promote the project construction in an orderly manner. We will strengthen the comprehensive three-dimensional development of urban rail transit hubs and promote the sustainable development of urban rail transit. At the same time, the planning and construction of projects to strengthen the integration of transportation. We will make overall arrangements to connect urban rail transit with the planned construction and operation of high-speed railways and intercity railways, and strengthen the seamless connection with important hubs such as xuzhou east railway station and rail transit lines, so as to improve the safety and convenience of passenger travel.
