On the evening of January 23, wuhan built a special hospital named vulcan mountain hospital in caidian district, based on the model of xiaotangshan hospital in Beijing during the fight against SARS in 2003. The hospital, with a floor area of 25,000 square meters and a capacity of 1,000 beds, is scheduled to open on Feb. 3 and be completed within six days. Citic architectural design institute is responsible for the design of the hospital, which is jointly constructed by China construction third bureau, wuhan construction engineering, wuhan municipal administration and hanyang municipal administration.

On January 26, the first ward of wuhan vulcan mountain hospital was completed. The hospital is expected to be completed and handed over to the military on February 2. During the same period, the site leveling work of Raytheon mountain hospital in wuhan has been fully started and will be officially delivered around February 5.
