Construction of maoping port and shugang railway has begun

Construction of the three gorges maoping port shugang railway started in zigui county, yichang city, hubei province on Wednesday. This project is a key node in the construction of the comprehensive transportation system of the three gorges junction, and also an important infrastructure for the three gorges iron-water combined transportation system. Upon completion, the transfer speed and transportation efficiency of the three gorges junction will be improved.

On the same day, the three gorges maoping port shugang railway project was started, which was to be led from the west end of yichang south station of yiwan railway to the west end of yichang south station. The project has a total length of 39.11 km, including 22 Bridges and 13 tunnels, with a bridge/tunnel ratio of 86.6%. The total investment is 3.516 billion yuan (RMB, the same below).

Construction began on the same day of the jiangnan dam oil and gas pipeline project. The project adopts “ Water & ndash; Tube & ndash; Water & throughout; In the transportation mode of turning over the dam, the refined oil downstream of the three gorges dam is transported to the upstream of the dam through pipelines, and then shipped to the sichuan-chongqing region, and methanol is transported in the reverse direction. The project has a total pipeline length of 140 kilometers and a planned investment of 6.54 billion yuan.

After the completion of the above two projects, a seamless combined transport mode of loading and unloading will be formed between maoping port on the dam and baiyang port on the dam, which will form a combined transport system of iron and water transport and pipe network at the three gorges hub, solve the shipping bottleneck problem of the three gorges, and give play to the golden effect of the golden waterway of the Yangtze river.

With the rapid development of Yangtze river shipping, the problem of the three gorges lock's inadequate passing capacity becomes more and more prominent. In order to expand the dam transfer capacity of the three gorges hub and unblock the logistics channel in the three gorges region, yichang has laid out a new channel for the dam transfer and combined transport to promote the construction of the comprehensive transport system of the three gorges hub.

By speeding up the construction of the transshipment port, dredging railway, expressway, logistics park and oil and gas pipeline on both sides of the Yangtze river (the three gorges dam), the city aims to facilitate dredging port transportation and realize efficient combined transport.
