SEM Brand held demo show in Belarus

On August 19, the biggest road construction company in Republic of Belarus - "Belavtodor" held the first internal competition “The best in profession” among operators of construction machines. The best operators of Belavtodor holding companies were competing for the prizes in three nominations: “The best Excavator operator”, “The best Motor Grader operator”, “The best Wheel Loader operator”. To show their skills, operators had to complete a set of difficult tasks such as fill water into the glass from the bottle fixed on the HEX bucket, hit the ball to the basket by HEX bucket, cutting ditches by Motor Grader.

In the frame of this event Caterpillar together with Trimble and the official dealer in Republic of Belarus – Zeppelin Weissrussland organized demo show with CAT&SEM machines and Construction technologies. Excavator CAT 320DL, dozers CAT D6R and track type Tractor SEM 816, motor Grader SEM 922AWD and Wheel Loader SEM 650B were demonstrated during the demo show. The demonstration took about 20 minutes but it was enough to show all power and performance of CAT and SEM machines. Operators demonstrated effective methods of earth bank construction, slot dozing technics, finish grading using 3D Grade Control system and other types of machines application, which are commonly used for road building.

Three machines were equipped with Trimble systems and visitors were able to see slope grading performance of 320DL with 2D system and watch live broadcast via a screen of operator actions and 2D system monitor through the camera fixed in the cab.

In spite of the fact that it was the first experience of such kind of event in Belarus, according to feedbacks, the demonstration made a deep impression on visitors and participants of competition, and became the most interesting part of this event.
