Eurasia Efficient Jobsite Seminar 2016

Recently, the Caterpillar GCI/Paving and SEM Teams conducted the key event in Eurasia – The Efficient Jobsite Seminar for Road Construction 2016, in Sochi, Russia.
 

This event was targeted at Eurasia countries customer and dealer audience, and showcased a complete range of Cat®, SEM products and services dedicated to the Industry, along with different technologies solutions designed to create an “Efficient Jobsite”, which means enhancing our customers productivity, safety and quality – thus profitability – while helping to manage their fleet more easily and effectively at the same time. The event, which was held for the second time, gathered more than 200 specialists of the road-building industry of the CIS: customers, construction companies, design companies, surveying companies, road-building universities, and specialized press.
 

Replicating the success of the previous Efficient Jobsite Seminars, the day started with Cat Connect Workshops. Customers were split in smaller groups, and pass through 5 different workshops, where they will see at first hand different machines performing common earthmoving applications, and how new technologies make a huge difference in terms of productivity, safety, fleet management, quality, fuel efficiency, etc. The workshops were set up into project logical sequence and led the groups through site surveying, 3D-project creation, site preparation, sub base / base construction, slope works, total project monitoring and fleet management. Cat and SEM machines worked on a road project utilizing automation and guidance systems – D6K2 with dual GPS system, TTT 816 w/ single GPS, 140M AWD w/ UTS, MG 919 w/ 2D Laser system, CS56B w/ Intelligent compaction, 320D2 L w/ GPS Flex.
 

After the workshops the guests attended a Road Life Cycle Demo. Where they went through major road construction and reclamation stages and processes – soil stabilization, hot asphalt mix continuous paving, milling using diamond bits, full depth reclamation. The operation of Cat® machine trains / systems utilizing automation technologies was presented – RM500, CS56B, 140M AWD, AP555E, CB44B, PM200.
 

In Sochi visitors got to know more about advanced Cat® Connect technologies, discussed construction industry specific requirements with Caterpillar, Cat dealers, and Trimble representatives.
 

The seminar creates ideal interaction between Cat dealers and CIS road construction professionals for best practices and techniques exchange, experience sharing and increases long-term partnership between them.
