SDLG’s Top Driver campaign kicks off in Thailand

Shortly after the media launch on 13th May, SDLG kicked off the first round of its Top Driver campaign in Suphan Buri Province in the center of the country to recruit operators to compete in the competition. Operators flocked from all over Thailand to participate and the drive to improve the safety and operating skills of machine operators in Thailand was well received.

SDLG displayed two of its most popular Wheel Loaders at the event – the LG936L and LG958L. Both have been specially adapted to suit Thailand’s hot climate. Visitors at the event liked the in-cab climate control system, as well as the multi-functional grappler. Thanks to the versatility of the machine, several orders for these models were made by customers on site.

The Thailand Top Driver recruitment event was held in conjunction with an exhibition for the rice mill industry – where SDLG Wheel Loaders have been particularly successful. Chairman of the Rice Mill Association Mr Manasapong made a special stop at the SDLG exhibition stand and said: “The development of the Thai construction industry depends on having more qualified operators with good operating skills. We are glad that SDLG is contributing to improving the number of operators in Thailand, as well as the skills of those who are already in the industry.

“The purpose of the Top Driver campaign is to promote safety and fuel efficiency, as well as increasing the overall skill level of operators,” explains Allen Zeng, Marketing Director at SDLG. “SDLG is dedicated to supporting its business in the Thai market and we believe the Thailand Top Driver initiative will have a positive impact on the industry here.”
