SDLG hosts customers at landmark AFC game in Vietnam

SDLG customers including Vietnamese construction conTractors, quarry owners and representatives from mining and industrial companies were invited to watch the game.

Leading Chinese construction equipment brand, SDLG, one of the main sponsors of the AFC Champions League soccer tournament, hosted a customer event at a recent match in Vietnam – and witnessed a famous victory. Local team Becamex Binh Duong played Kashiwa Reysol of Japan, and the Vietnamese team duly won – recording their first-ever victory in the tournament.

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League, Asia’s largest football tournament, saw one of its biggest upsets to date when Vietnam’s Becamex Binh Duong claimed their first-ever win in the competition, beating Japanese side Kashiwa Reysolat the Go Dua Stadium in Thu Dau Mot, just outside Ho Chi Minh City. Among those cheering on from the stands were a range of Vietnamese construction conTractors, quarry owners and representatives from mining and industrial companies who were all at the game courtesy of SDLG. In addition to local customers, SDLG also hosted Liao Renlai, a councillor from China’s Vietnamese chamber of commerce, and other Chinese government affiliates.

In partnership with its authorized dealer for Vietnam - Cong TY TNHH Hoang GIGI – SDLG displayed several machines outside the stadium, including the LG936L, LG953N and LG956 Wheel Loaders. The machines attracted plenty of attention from fans and some were even sold during the event to customers in attendance.

SDLG is continuing to develop its presence in Vietnam and it is likely to grow stronger in the country given the Chinese government’s funding announcement for its ‘One Belt, One Road’ blueprint, which will create new overland and oversea trade routes from China to the rest of the world. The policy aims to improve the flow of goods around the region and involves improving infrastructure and road networks, with Vietnam being a key connection to Southeast Asia. SDLG, in partnership with its dealer Cong TY, is already the leading Chinese construction brand in Vietnam and the ‘One Belt, One Road’ program gets underway, machine deliveries into the country are expected to increase.
