SDLG wins Construction Equipment Top 100 Award

Designed to call special attention to the most significant new products each year, SDLG is being recognized for its Wheel Loader lineup by one of North America’s leading construction trade publications.

The U.S.-based magazine Construction Equipment has given SDLG its Top 100 Award for 2013. The award comes on the heels of SDLG’s successful rollout of the global brand to North America, with the magazine naming it “one of the most significant new products” announced this year.

The award will be announced in the magazine’s December 2013 issue, alongside the other 99 winners. Several hundred product introductions were considered for the award, according to the magazine’s editorial director Rod Sutton, who added that winners are chosen for their emphasis on innovation, rewarding those manufacturers that invest in research and development.

Sutton went on to say the award recognizes the products from companies that bring progress to the construction market.

"Their investments pay off for equipment users in the form of greater productivity, efficiencies and safety,” he said. “They also ensure a competitive marketplace.”

Al Quinn, director of SDLG North America, said it was great to be recognized for introducing a new product segment to the North American market that provides customers with an alternative to satisfy their Wheel Loader needs.

“SDLG gives our customers a new loader at the cost of a traditional used loader and this represents a new option, not previously available to customers in North America,” he said. “Our startup has been exciting and our early successes are exceeding expectations.”
