Shantui's Second and Third Relief Packages Arrive in Chengdu

At 9:00am on April 25, Shantui's second and third batches of relief aid arrived in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province. Included in the shipments were two SD13 and two SD16 Bulldozers. They were preceded by two SD22 Bulldozers in the first aid convoy, which arrived on April 21. Shantui's dealers and agents in Sichuan lent assistance as well- sending rollers, loaders, Graders, and any other equipment required by the relief effort. According to the Armed Police Third Corps the loose debris from the earthquake and adverse weather conditions have combined to trigger secondary disasters, such as landslides, flooding, debris flow, and barrier lakes. In these conditions, crawler dozers and other earth-moving equipment are vital to rescue and reconstruction efforts.
