On September 6, Shantui (Ghana) Co., Ltd. held grand launch ceremony in Accra, the capital of Ghana. China’s Commercial Counselor to Ghana Mr. Gao Wenzhi, the Minister of Trade and Industry of Ghana, Ms. Hanna Tetteh, the Minister Roads and Highways of Ghana, Mr. Joseph Gidisu, and the Deputy General Manager of Shantui Construction Machinery Co. Ltd., Cheng Zhaohong, who also acts as the General Manager of Shantui Construction Machinery Import and Export Co., Ltd. attended the ceremony. Shantui’s Togo dealer, Cameroon dealer, Democratic Republic of Congo dealer, and the representatives from local China-invested enterprises in Ghana, and local customers, totaling more than 150 persons, also were in attendance

Mr. Cheng emphasized that the founding of Shantui (Ghana) Co., Ltd. is an important step for Shantui’s internationalization strategy and was another symbol for continued deepening of Shantui’s overseas business, which also indicated that Shantui has established a solid distribution base in 23 countries in West Africa and Central Africa.
Counselor Gao, Minister Tetteh, and Minister Gidisu delivered ardent speeches, respectively, expressing their well-wishes, expectations, and cooperative with Shantui. The General Manager of Shantui (Ghana), Anthony Dawson Amoah, said, “Shantui (Ghana) would surely grasp the opportunity and exploit it with great efforts and, while fulfilling Shantui's West Africa development strategy, make due contributions to local employment and infrastructural development and boost the development of Sino-Ghana economic trade and other exchanges.”

The ceremony included product presentations, business discussions and exchanges, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and a celebratory banquet, which presented the diversified characteristics of Shantui and laid a good foundation for the promotion of Shantui’s brand recognition and for Shantui’s development in Ghana and in the regional markets Central Africa and West Africa.
In recent years, through continual deepening of the Sino-Ghana friendship, economic trade and cooperation resulted in many achievements with trade developing rapidly. Surging from 93,000,000 US$ in 2000 to 1,512,000,000 US$, China has become the largest importer of Ghanaian-made products. By seizing this opportunity, the founding of Shantui (Ghana) Co., Ltd. will enable Shantui to be closer to the local construction machinery market, obtain first-hand market information , timely understand the market trends and grasp greater business opportunities, effectively manage and support local dealers, share resources with dealers in terms of distribution of equipment and parts, ensure mutual assistance in terms of after-sales service, smoothen the distribution and service network, promote the sales volume of Shantui's products, expand Shantui's brand influence in Central Africa and West Africa, and let more customers or potential customers understand and recognize Shantui's brand.
The founding of Shantui (Ghana) Co., Ltd. will further complete Shantui’s overseas layout and become Shantui’s newest beach head for development in Africa.
